Network Policies
For site security purposes and to ensure that this service remains available to all users, the RPIMUD Network may, at any time, employ software programs to monitor network traffic to identify unauthorized attempts to upload or change information, or otherwise cause damage. Except for authorized law enforcement investigations, no other attempts are made to identify individual users or their usage habits. Raw data logs are used for no other purposes and are scheduled for regular destruction in accordance with our site maintenance schedule. Unauthorized attempts to upload information or change information on this service are strictly prohibited and may be punishable under the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act of 1986 and the National Information Infrastructure Protection Act. Any such criminal actions against this site, the RPIMUD Network, our visitors, players, developers and/or affiliates will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Outside Graphics Members of the RPIMUD Network are permitted to link to outside graphics in two instances; forum avatars and signature banners. As these images are not hosted on this site, the RPIMUD Network is not responsible for the content of these images, though we do check the forums regularly and will remove any member who is found to be using image content not appropriate for all ages. If you would like to link to an outside graphic for your avatar you are required to link to an image of exactly 80x80 pixels. If you would like to link to an outside graphic for any signature banner, that image must be exactly 140x50 pixels. This requirement is not imposed for any reason other than to maintain a clear, clean, and crisp consistency in our forums. If your outside graphic does not meet these requirements you will be asked to replace it with one that does. If you do not have the skills to resize your outside graphics, our staff will do so for you and supply you with an appropriately sized image for your use.
